First of all, I want to apologize for not posting a blog last Sunday. We had just gotten back to our house after our vacation and I really just wanted to snuggle my pup and my kitty and lay down in my own bed. So, that’s precisely what I did.
We had a fabulous time in Montana. We got to hang out with our new nephew, other family members, experience a BMW motorcycle rally, and explore Glacier National Park. I’m sure I’ll eventually post even more pictures from our trip! It was beautiful.
While I was on vacation, I had a lovely woman comment on my facebook post about my tree pose post. She started a project called Plant A Tree Pose and asked me if I would be a part of it. I did a little research in to what their project is, and I LOVED it.
Annette Cain’s mission is to raise awareness of deforestation and to plant more trees! All you have to do is donate $1, upload a picture of you doing tree pose, then they plant a tree! And your picture becomes a part of a large mosaic that will be revealed on Earth Day of 2016.
I think that’s pretty cool.
I love trees, so the Plant A Tree Pose movement is one that really resonates with me. (I honestly think I may have been a tree in a past life. They just comfort me in a totally unique way.) We need to preserve our Earth, and part of the way we can do that is to continue to ensure that trees are part of our world. Trees literally breathe life in to this planet, and when we take that away by chopping them all down…what are we left with? I don’t think I want to know.
So, here is my (in my opinion, epic) picture of me doing tree pose. I had my husband take a bunch of pictures of me doing yoga in Glacier National Park and I definitely think this one was the winner. Enjoy, and check out the Plant A Tree Pose project at http://plantatreepose.com and donate!
Happy OM’ing and namaste. ❤
